Nine walks along and around the Macclesfield Canal, provided by the Macclesfield Canal Company. Also links to other areas of interest - canls maps, pubs etc.

‘Countryside Health Walks have been designed to help you get and stay fit by enjoying short easy walks in the local countryside.’ So say Tameside Council and they’ve provided twelve walks to help you keep in shape.

 

Not to be outdone, Cheshire County Council have listed thirteen walks around Cheshire, together with links to many more.

Marple is a walkers delight, providing a mixture of superb scenery and fascinating historical features. Featured on this site are six circular walks of between two and four miles.
