To many people, both in England and elsewhere, the area of the Cotswolds is the epitome of ‘Englishness’ - rolling countryside, quiet lanes, villages glowing in the afternoon sun. And yet the area is not frozen in time - it is a working, living place that will repay the visitor who takes the time to discover its timeless charm.
